The official translation of the documents of a foreigner or Turkish citizen is certified when it is stamped and signed by an official translator who has signed in Turkey. Also be confirmed by NOTER. Notaries or notaries, under the supervision of the judiciary, certify documents after the signature of the translator.

The difference between formal (official) and informal (unofficial) translation

In terms of legal validity and value, translations are divided into two categories: formal translation and informal translation. We will now explain each to determine their differences.

Official translation

Documents made by an official translator with the official translator’s stamp and signature in the judiciary are called official translations. And can be used in government agencies. Not all documents can be officially translated. Some of the documents that can be officially translated are: identity card, national card, certificate, marriage certificate, divorce certificate, degree, real estate documents, company documents, power of attorney, etc.

Unofficial translation

Informal translation is the same as regular translation. And translate ordinary statements or writings from one language to another. For example: translating books, texts, translating oral sessions, translating audio and video files, and so on.

Differences between official translations in Turkey and Iran

The translation and verification processes vary from country to country. In Iran, an official translation is performed by an official translator approved by the judiciary. It must then be approved by the judiciary, the Iranian foreign ministry, and the embassy of the country in question.

The official translation in Turkey is that the translation must be done by an official translator in Turkey whose seal and signature is accepted in Turkish notaries. The translation must then be approved by Notre Dame.

What does NOTER mean in Turkey?

Notary offices in Turkey are the same as notaries. Those jobs such as buying and selling, power of attorney affairs, approval of official translations and… are done in Noter.

The bodies that give translators the right to sign and have their signatures approved are notaries. Noter is also responsible for translator translations.

To do any legal work in Noter, you must know Turkish. If you do not know how to read and write Turkish, you should have an official translator with a signature in your notebook, so that the translator can read and translate the text for you. To know what you are signing. And be aware of its contents.

The official Iranian translation agency in Istanbul has official translators who have signed in Turkish notaries. And they can do everything related to notaries from translating documents to official translators in Turkey to buying and selling and preparing power of attorney in Turkey.

Methods of setting up a power of attorney

Method 1: Your attorney has traveled directly to Turkey. Then, accompanied by an official translator, he went to the Turkish notary offices and prepared the power of attorney there. This method is the best and safest way to prepare a power of attorney. The reason is that this power of attorney is used in Turkey, so it must be prepared in accordance with the laws of Turkish government agencies and in the format accepted by these agencies. So the best way is to set up in the official offices of Noter in Turkey.

Method 2 : In this method, a person with an official translator has referred to the Turkish Embassy in Iran. Then go to the legal department of the embassy and prepare the power of attorney. This method, like the previous method, is a reliable method. And the power of attorney format at the Turkish embassy can be used in Turkish government offices.

Method 3 : If a person for any reason is not able to use the above two methods, he has prepared a power of attorney in notaries in Iran. It must then be translated into Istanbul Turkish by the official translation agency in Iran. After translation, it must be approved by the judiciary and the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Finally, it should be approved by the Turkish Embassy in Iran. The point to be noted in this method is that one should try to make the power of attorney in accordance with the power of attorney in Turkey. To do this, you can prepare a sample format of power of attorney from notary offices and prepare the Persian text according to this format. Then, after being translated into Istanbul Turkish, the exact form of the power of attorney is acceptable in Noter.
